Why Did You Create USWCC Money?

To provide the education, advice and tools you need to plan and retire with confidence.

Dear Friends:

Margot Dorfman, CEO U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce

There's a new leader for women's retirement planning --- women themselves.

After several years of research and planning, the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce has opened a new frontier for retirement leadership through the establishment of groundbreaking U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce led financial and business services enterprises that put women in the driver's seat for improved retirement planning and business growth (read about The Women-Led Economy).

The stakes have never been higher.  Women all across America face a strong headwind as we plan and act to secure our retirement.

USWCC Money breaks new ground in our quest to leverage the power, scale and savvy of the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce to level the playing field for women and small businesses, and enable our members to plan and retire with confidence. The education, tools and advice available through the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce, USWCC Money, and our SmartRETIRE initiative, empower women to learn, plan, and act for themselves and their financial future.

Janette Davis, CPA, MBA - Leader of SmartRETIRE and CEO of USWCC Money, LLCSmartRETIRE is more than just a brand name; it captures the essence of our objective to provide the education, advice and tools individuals need to make the smart moves necessary to plan and retire with confidence.

For too long, women have been seen as simply a ripe target market for the sales of financial products. This target marketing has left women without clarity and confidence in retirement planning. And, far too often, retirement planners and their big business drivers take aim to fill their client rosters exclusively with individuals who have significant wealth to invest (see this recent article as an example). The entire financial services industry has been based on commissions and management fee structures that push professionals to seek out exclusively clients with significant assets that will assure plump commissions.

This drive towards wealthy clients, commissions and fees instead of education and cost-effective solutions that can provide quality outcomes for all, has been detrimental to the everyday individual.

The leadership of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce knew we could do better. The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce is the independent force behind an economic revolution in America. Using a platform of influence, innovation and opportunity, we work with and for our members to grow successful businesses and careers and to plan and retire with confidence.

We're taking the title "women-owned" to the next level in the evolution of women's economic growth through the formation of financial and business services subsidiaries of the chamber. Through this bold act of leadership, the women's chamber transforms the position of women from ripe marketing targets into industry leaders controlling our own destiny, and benefiting from aligning our shared goals and objectives to achieve better economic outcomes for women.

SmartRETIRE is powered by the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce and our subsidiaries -- including USWCC Money, LLC (our financial advisory firm), USWCC Financial, LLC (providing tax services, business financial accounting, payroll and more), USWCC Insurance, LLC (providing life, long term care, disability insurance and annuities), and USWCC Business, LLC (providing business services, ecommerce stores and malls)].

Women must be especially focused on saving for retirement.

Typically, women earn less and live longer than men, making it very important that we take action early to secure, grow and leverage our retirement assets so as to assure a quality standard of life and fiscal stability during our retirement years.

Did you know?

  • Women's average income after age 64 is only $16,648 annually while men's average income after age 64 is $31,243.
  • Women are more dependent on Social Security during retirement than men.
  • Women live longer than men, requiring more money in retirement.
